Meet Mike Heath. Know Mike Heath. He is the leading –and most hateful — anti-gay voice in Maine.

Jeremy Hooper at Good As You has the background on Mike Heath from Maine. He’s one of the worst homophobes in the country — and he’s been at the center of all the anti-gay efforts in Maine for years. But, Heath is such a toxic hater that the leaders of the anti-marriage campaign are going to try to keep Heath in the closet. But, Heath is their guy. And, Jeremy has a message:

Well we’re here to tell Mainers: DON’T YOU DARE BUY IT FOR A SECOND! Because one only need to do a half-efforted surface scratch to realize that Mr. Heath is an intrinsic, indelible part of Maine’s anti-gay effort!

And, we’ll all do our part to make sure Mike Heath gets his due. Start with Jeremy’s post. It’s an excellent resource that will come in handy as we get moving on the campaign.

Our ActBlue page for No on 1/Protect Maine Equality is here. We have to win in Maine. We have to defeat Mike Heath and his ilk.
