Gay-bashing is so 2004, or should be. But, Missouri Senate candidate/Congressman Roy Blunt, who cheated on his wife with a lobbyist, then divorced his wife to marry said lobbyist, has jumped on the gay-bashing bandwagon. That's usually a sign of trouble for a politician. And, seriously, Roy Blunt is going to defend marriage? Please. Could be be a bigger hypocrite?
Roy is worried about his right flank. He's being challenged in the GOP primary by a very conservative State Senator, Chuck Purgason. And, Blunt's shady past has already been an issue on conservative talk radio:
“His [Matt Blunt’s] daddy [Roy] screwed around with a tobacco lobbyist. Then slips language into the homeland security bill favorable to the tobacco lobbyist. I mean here is a guy that has committed adultery multiple times. Yet he had a senior position, and still does, in the Republican Party. Guys like Papa Blunt make us sick to our stomach.Roy Blunt should worry about his own marriage issues. He looks like a raging hypocrite. And, he is.
