CBS was asked why it blurred a photo of a same-sex kiss between two men (Adam Lambert) but then showed a photo of a same-sex kiss between two women (Madonna) right after. Was there something wrong with two men kissing, per CBS? Here is CBS' response:
"The Madonna (same-sex-kissing) image is very familiar and has appeared countless times, including many times on morning television. The Adam Lambert (same-sex-kissing) image is a subject of great current controversy, has not been nearly as widely disseminated and, for all we know, may still lead to legal consequences."What a crock. Of course it's been shown on the morning shows many times because you chose to show it, you idiots. That's the point. At some point, CBS first decided it was okay to show the Madonna photo for the first time. But when it came to two men kissing, CBS freaked out because it was two guys. So, as CBS tells it, two women kissing is okay, but two men kissing is inappropriate. Nice.
