There's nothing like a good cat fight among the loons. A conservative gay group, GOProud, is co-hosting the ultimate right-wing conference, the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC). To get the flavor of CPAC, which takes place in DC in February 2010, here's the list of speakers:
Amb. John Bolton*, Andrew Breitbart*, Herman Cain*, Ann Coulter*, Hon. Newt Gingrich, Doug Hoffman, Hon. Mike Huckabee, Gov. Bobby Jindal, David Keene*, Wayne LaPierre*, Mark Levin*, Rush Limbaugh, Gov.-elect Bob McDonnell, Hon. Sarah Palin (Invited, Not Confirmed), Rep. Ron Paul, Gov. Tim Pawlenty*, Hon. Mitt Romney*, Marco Rubio*, and many more! Now, why any self-respecting gay organization would want to hang out with that crowd is beyond me. But, GOProud's sponsorship has sent the way too gay-obsessed Matt Barber and Peter LaBarbera into a frenzy. It's an intra-right wing smackdown between the gays and the gay-haters. Via Joe.My.God:
Matt Barber says that if the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) allows Log Cabin Republicans splinter group GOProud to remain as a co-sponsor, he will lead a boycott of the event by anti-gay groups.Joe links to "Porno Pete" LaBarbera's post on this brewing scandal. PP is all worked up.
I'm with Joe on this one:
Now we DO want GOProud to be there. Anything to breed infighting among the bigots.Maybe Barber and LaBarbera should do a workshop at CPAC on all things gay, since they obsess about the gays way more than the gays do.
