Sad news - Don Belton murdered

INDIANAPOLIS - A man accused in the stabbing death of an Indiana University professor told police the victim had sexually assaulted him on Christmas Day and showed no remorse, according to court documents.

Michael J. Griffin, 25, of Bloomington told police he visited Don Belton on Sunday to confront the 53-year-old assistant professor of English over two alleged assaults, the probable cause affidavit said.

Rick Warren needs money. Sends "URGENT LETTER" to his flock.

Rick Warren has been in the spotlight for many things over the past year or so. Most of them have been related to his homophobia, both in the U.S. and Uganda. Now, Warren needs money. And, it's URGENT:

It’s been a heck of a year for mega-pastor/bestselling author/power broker Rick Warren of the enormous Saddleback Church. It started out with Warren’s invocation at the historic inauguration of one President Barack Obama - and it concludes with Warren asking his flock to cough up nearly $1 million in just two days to keep the church out of the red.

“Dear Saddleback Family,” begins today’s missive from Warren. “THIS IS AN URGENT LETTER unlike any I’ve written in 30 years. Please read all of it and get back to me in the next 48 hours.

According to Warren, "this last weekend the bottom dropped out.." Hmmm. If I was in Rick Warren's flock, I'd ask for an audit.

Is God wise? Do you trust him? These are two fundamental questions behind the act of giving. If God is wise, then you should listen to what he says about financial stewardship.
