DNC - 2010 Presidential Survey

| Reddit | Tumblr | Digg | FARK

I just received my 2010 Presidential Survey from the Democratic National Committee. Of course, it is just another nifty way for them to ask for money to get their agenda accomplished by their support of Democrats. The survey covered President Obama's performance, National Priorities and a section on Democratic Party priorities. Funny, but there was not one word mentioning civil rights for LGBT Americans.

In the margin, where I was to rank my priorities from #1 - #14, I wrote, "#1 Following through on progressive promises regarding civil rights for the LGBT community specifically on ENDA, DADT and DOMA."

It is shameless how the Democratic National Committee has used our community for our energy and resources to help elect a Democratic President. And, now that we have one, the DNC doesn't even bother to mention one gay-related issue. President Obama has still not followed through on his promises to us. I guess that means he never will?

In the area where I was asked to provide my credit card information I wrote, "Tired of being a second class LGBT American citizen!" Oh, and they are asking me to provide a stamp to save them money. Fat chance!

It's pretty simple: Don't Ask, Don't Give.
