Denver Gay Pride: Amid the storm and chaos there was a single kiss

A very cute vignette caught by AMERICAblog reader Rick at Denver’s recent Gay Pride festivities.

Apparently a storm hit, mid-Pride, and everyone grabbed their things and ran for cover.  As the camera pans, you can see a number of people hanging onto the umbrellas over their tables, lest the entire thing fly away à la Dorothy.

But then, the camera stops.  What do you see amidst the chaos?  A lone gay couple, obliviously sharing a long passionate kiss. Rick tells me he had no idea they were there – it was only after he panned that he saw them and then zoomed in.

Denver Pride-goers hold down tablecloths and umbrellas a storm forces everyone to scatter.

It’s pretty adorable.

Hmm. They were in a public area. They were kissing even though they knew they were surrounded by hundreds of people. There’s no way this can be equated with being “spied” on.

There is a world of difference between what the NSA is doing and what the camera operator was doing when he inadvertently caught a wonderful moment on camera.

there are storms brewing around gay couples but not from mother nature, be safe fellow citizen and be careful.

Who needs the NSA when ordinary Americans are comfortable spying on each other. That was a very sweet PRIVATE MOMENT, even if they were out in public.

Although the look from the guy in the white t-shirt was “Oh… Hey… (dang, caught on camera… let me wipe my mouth off now)… which is interesting in and of itself in the fact that he didn’t say “Why are you filming me?”

  5. LOL yeah that too!

Hah, and it appeared that no one really notices… :) Except the cam person!
