Udall and Gillibrand to Holder: Don’t appeal DADT decision

This is great. Two of our strongest advocates in the Senate, Mark Udall and Kirsten Gillibrand, wrote a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder asking him not to appeal the recent decision in Log Cabin Republicans vs. United States, which found DADT unconstitutional.

We’ve been banging that drum that the DOJ does not have to appeal this decision, as have many others including Richard Socarides. The Obama administration does not have to appeal this decision. It’s great to see that Udall and Gillibrand agree and are willing to speak out. Thanks.

On October 27, 2010, Joe was one of five bloggers who interviewed President Obama.
