Gays ticked at HRC for taking over Harvey Milk’s old store

If HRC spent half the time on real activism as it does on its “look”…

I wonder what Harvey Milk would have said about the “lead” gay rights organization not being able to get ENDA, DOMA or DADT with a new president at 70% in the polls, overwhelming control of the House and Senate, and a GOP opposition in ruins. The appropriate response to such a debacle is not to buy Harvey Milk’s old store. If HRC had accomplished anything of merit in the past two years – and getting the Hate Crimes bill signed doesn’t count as the bill already passed two years before – then maybe moving into Milk’s store would have been a brilliant move. Now, it simply comes off as a diversionary tactic, and ticks people off even more.
